User interface

have multiple browse- and querywindows at the same time
list of records table-like; detailed record view in a color-structured screen mask
Color-structured screen mask allows good orientation for users: correlated fields have same color attributes
Configurable palette of special chars in screen mask for easy input of foreign chars
During input of data lookup lists are available which help with homogenous input of data.
In lookup lists a search function is integrated for easy finding of special values.
When you enter new bibliographic data of yournals, some of the fields contain information that can be used for all following records (e.g. journal name, journal volume etc.) You can configure Gelit not to clear contents of specific fields when creating a new "empty" record.
Build queries via drag'n'drop. Several filters are available for use on field contents (equal, contains, like etc.). You can also build logic relations (and/or) between fields.
New in version 2.0: Build a query on all linked databases. Queries can run in background (even on Win 3.1x).

Printing records

User-definable, easy to create printmasks
43 printable fields - besides data fields there are also control fields available (new page, Carriage return, other text, record counter)
For any field you can specify 5 conditions (3 blocks) which specify when to prind a field. Conditions can be related with logic operators (and/or/and not etc.)
. Conditions can depend on values of other database fields. Available filters are equal, bigger, smaller, contains, ends with
Font attributes available for and field: bold, italics, underline, capital and COLOR
Multiple author citation styles available; automatic "american" citation of authors
Each print mask can contain up to 120 fields
These functions provide self-configuring print masks for any type of literature
Have up to 30 print masks linked within Gelit. Print masks are internally accessed by a 50 character long description.
One printmask for all print targets: print records directly to: Windows printer, Winword 6.0 or to one of following file formats: RTF (for word processors), LaTeX, HTML and text files.
A "goody" for Texnicers: Print your data with all font styles into a 7-Bit-LaTeX file - even as a "thebibliography"! No longer use of BibTeX.
Embedding of special LaTeX-, HTML- und RTF markups possible
